Former Chef de Cuisine Joseph Martin is from Dorchester, SC, where he now operates Four Corner Farms full time. Fortunately, one can still find him on the line designing beautiful plates and enticing our palates.  He came to Charleston to work in a more culinary oriented city and to experience all that Charleston has to offer.  His culinary career started at Middleton Gardens and continued throughout his college career at Clemson, where he worked at several restaurants.  After graduating in 2002 with a degree in Business Management, he returned to Charleston to pursue his culinary career at the Mustard Seed and Long Point Grill.  The seed for Joseph's culinary path was planted by his grandmother, who started talking to him about the importance of food in one's life when he was seven.  He covets both his Mom and his Grandmother as his "Culinary Heroes" and his passion for the idea that food is an essential part of life has been brought to fruition through his organic farm in Dorchester, SC - Four Corner Farms, where he is currently growing several varieties of heirloom tomatoes, which are used at Hucks when in season.  His long term culinary goal is to own a self-sustaining food market that has an emphasis on organic produce and other local Charleston items.
